I am not reviewing the bar…. But the bar has a hidden gem, a small restaurant, hidden behind a secret door, at the rear of the bar. It is called Le “22” by Le Crock no Name. As the name suggests, it only serves 22 persons… We were recommended the restaurant by a local. It is so “hidden” that many of our local friends had no idea that it existed! The setting is rustic and very cosy… the chef is very friendly and knowledgeable. There is no “menu”, just what the chef decides to serve for that day and most of the food is prepared using locally picked or grown vegetables and supplies. The wine list is fabulous too… We had an outstanding meal, one of the best I have had in a very long time. The waiter was very friendly and knowledgeable too. Every item on the menu was meticulously prepared and had such an exquisite taste. One could taste the freshness of every ingredient. I was completely blown away by the sophisticated dishes that serenaded by taste buds. It is truly a unique experience and one that I cannot wait to have again. Yes, the restaurant is small and that is what makes the experience so much more personable. I hope that as it gets more popular it still retains manages to retain its charm and truly outstanding food. Very highly recommended!
